THE STORY
From origin to purpose
From Honduras to the heart of American cattle country.
Agriculture has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Honduras, I saw cattle ranching as both a beloved way of life and a backbone of rural communities.
That foundation took me across borders and disciplines—from agronomy to ruminant nutrition, animal biology, emissions research, and the commercial realities shaping modern cattle production.
The question underneath all of it remains simple: how do we help agriculture move forward without losing the people, values, and places that make it worth protecting?

Animal science led me through graduate training in ruminant nutrition and a Ph.D. focused on reducing the environmental footprint of beef production.
